Far Paschim Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah dismissed Industry Tourism Forestry and Environment Minister Rameshwar Choudhary on Thursday and said that Civil Liberation Party will withdraw from the union and state governments.
President Ranjita Shrestha said, "In the far west, the chief minister used his authority to remove the minister of our party, that's right. Now we are also out of union and state governments. We just finished discussing it at the party. We will withdraw the support tomorrow.' Resham Chaudhary, patron of
party, also said that he will withdraw support from the government. In the Far West, the Chief Minister dismissed Minister Chowdhury after he disobeyed the instructions to resign. Minister Choudhary had challenged him to show himself by sacking himself if he could. Citizen Liberation Party also decided that Chaudhary will not resign.
Minister Chaudhary did not maintain financial discipline during the preparation of the budget, and he was asked to resign due to his dissatisfaction with the appointment of Executive Director in Khaptad Tourism Development and Management Committee.
In the Far West, there is a joint government of UML and Civil Immunity under the leadership of Congress. There are 18 MPs from Congress, 11 from UML and 7 from Civil Immunity. Chief Minister Shah will not be in the minority after Civil Immunity withdrew its support. 27 MPs are required for a majority in the 53-member Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly.
