Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee (MCA-Nepal) has opened the way for continuation. This path was opened after the American government decided to continue MCA Nepal. MCA Nepal has welcomed the US government's decision to continue the program.

"Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee (MCA-Nepal) has welcomed the decision of the US government to allow the implementation of the MCC Nepal Compact under a special exemption regarding the moratorium imposed on US foreign aid," MCA Nepal said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

MCA-Nepal is working closely with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to implement compact activities, including completing the procurement process for construction of 297 km power transmission lines and road maintenance. MCA-Nepal is continuing the work related to the construction of three substations and 18 km cross-border transmission line, which had already started before the review of foreign aid.

MCA-Nepal has stated that it is committed to complete these infrastructure projects that have a significant impact on the development of the energy and transportation sectors of Nepal.
