The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has said that 12 districts of western Nepal are at high risk due to heavy rain today, Sunday and Monday.
Suren Sunar, spokesperson of the Authority, said that according to the Department of Water and Meteorology, a special bulletin has been issued stating that there may be very heavy rainfall in various areas of western Nepal, and based on that, those 12 districts are more at risk.
According to him, there is a risk of heavy rain in Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Doti, Acham, Kailali and Kanchanpur in Far West Province, Surkhet, Dailekh and Salyan in Karnali Province, Banke, Bardia and Dang in Lumbini Province. It is said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the high mountain areas of other provinces.
In the last 24 hours, there has been heavy rain in some places of Pyuthan, Doti, Baglung, Kailali, according to the Department of Water and Meteorology. It is reported that there is a change in the country and it is raining in some places.
On June 16, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at some places in hilly areas of Karnali Province, Sudurpaschim Province and hilly and lowland areas of Lumbini Province till Monday morning. Also, it is said that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly parts of other provinces.
