Meghraj Pokharel, the proposed judge in the Supreme Court, has said that the judiciary should be independent and impartial. He said this while presenting his action plan at the parliamentary hearing committee meeting held at Singha Durbar on Sunday.

He said that legal professionals are biased, but judges should be absolute. He said that after becoming a judge, he will work in an absolute manner. He promised to prove himself in favor of the constitution, law and justice after becoming a judge.

He said, 'Law professionals should work in favor of one or the other. But after becoming a judge, the judge has no side. If I get the responsibility of a justice worker, I will change my role and prove myself in favor of the constitution, law and justice. Judiciary should be independent and impartial. The judge should have such a view. There may be pressure and temptations in the judiciary for this. There may be threats. You have to rise above that and make a decision. The judiciary also has a role in the relationship with the executive and the legislature.

He said that everyone should work within the constitution. He claimed that if we cannot work within the limits of the constitution, there will be a deadlock in the country.
