Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli informed the Parliament about his visit to Spain starting today. He is leaving for Spain this evening to participate in the fourth international conference of the United Nations on 'Financing for Development'.
This international conference, which will be held in the city of Seville, Spain, is organized in a decade. As in the United Nations General Assembly, this conference is also attended by the governments and heads of state of the member states.
The prime minister is scheduled to arrive in Spain's capital Madrid tomorrow morning via Qatar Airways flight at 6 pm today. 21 people will participate in the Prime Minister's team. It will also include the Nepali ambassador in Spain and the resident representative in New York.
In addition to the team including the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the leading officials of the respective fields, the Secretary of Finance and the Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office will also be included in the visiting team. Along with the Prime Minister's chief adviser, necessary people from the personal secretariat will also be in the team. On the second day of the
visit, Prime Minister Oli has informed that the visiting team will reach the Spanish city of Seville at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon on June 15. There is a program to address the closing session of the plenary organized by the civil society, where various personalities including His Excellency the President of the Council of Ministers of Spain will participate.
A bilateral meeting has been scheduled with the Prime Minister of Spain (Chairman of the Spanish Government) Pedro Sanchez at 5 pm. The last event of the 15th is a dinner hosted by the King of Spain to welcome the Heads of State and Government.
On the third day of the tour, the prime minister will participate in the opening session on June 16, . In the afternoon, there is a program to address the announcement program of the Independent Commission for the Future of Development Cooperation, organized by the Gates Foundation.
A bilateral meeting will be held with His Excellency the President of Estonia Alar Karis at 1 pm. The Prime Minister will address the conference as the President of the ing Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
Prime Minister of Egypt Dr. Mostafa Kamal Madbuli will have a bilateral meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister Louis of Montenegro and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
The Prime Minister will participate in the official dinner given by the Prime Minister of the Government of Spain.
4th day June 17th He will chair the high-level meeting of underdeveloped countries. Prime Minister Oli will address the high-level side-event on Empowering Resilience and Climate Smart Financing for Sustainable LDC Graduation, which will be jointly organized by the Government of Nepal, Bangladesh, Laos and the United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC).
His next address will be at the event titled Flow of Water and Sanitation Financing Resources at the initiative of Heads of State/Heads of Government to be co-organized by Nepal and Burundi.
On the fifth day, June 18th, we are scheduled to return to Madrid from Sevilla. will participate in Nepal-Spain business and investment promotion program in the evening.
