The Department of Water and Meteorology has said that there will be heavy to very heavy rain in some parts of West Nepal including Lumbini Province from Saturday evening. The weather forecast division of the department has issued a special monsoon weather bulletin this evening and requested to take necessary precautions.
According to the department, heavy rain is about to occur due to the effect of low pressure system in those areas as well as the water vapor air flowing from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. The
department has said, 'There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain from the evening of Saturday 14th June to the morning of Monday 16th June 2082 in the hilly areas of Karnali Province, in the far west and in the hilly and lowland areas of Lumbini Province. In addition, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of other provinces. The
department said that the Monsoon low pressure line is currently located at Sardar place in the east and from Sardar place in the west to the south. According to the department, there is a possibility that the line will move from Sardar to the north towards West Nepal from tomorrow Saturday evening.
Due to the effect of this system, there is a possibility that the monsoon will be active in the hilly areas of Karnali province, the hilly and lowland areas of Far West and Lumbini provinces from this Saturday evening to Monday morning on June 16th.
Therefore, since there is a risk of soil erosion, floods, landslides and landslides due to possible rains, there is a risk of inundation in urban and lowland areas, the water level in large and small rivers and streams may rise, daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, construction works around the river area, road and air traffic may also be affected, so the general public and all concerned bodies have been requested to take necessary precautions and preparations.
This monsoon system is being continuously monitored by the Weather Forecast Division and it is mentioned in the special bulletin which is updated regularly accordingly. Therefore, it has been asked to see the three-day weather bulletin issued by this department regularly and to get information about the updated weather information.
