The government has decided to extend the tenure of Deputy Inspector General of Armed Police Kalidas Dhauvji and Kumar Neupane.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Prithvisubba Gurung, who is also the spokesperson of the government, gave this information at a press conference held on Wednesday while announcing the decisions made by the cabinet meeting on June 9th. 

The meeting has formed a seven-member high-level study and investigation committee, 2082, under the chairmanship of the former chief secretary of the Nepal government, Shankardas Bairagi, with joint secretaries of various ministries as members. 

Likewise, the government has also decided to approve the Industry and Commerce Promotion Council Order, 2082, and to grant approval to the Water Minister to participate in the program on Unlocking Water and Sanitation Financing through the Heads of State Initiative to be held in Seville, Spain from June 15 to 19. 

 According to Minister Gurung, the foreign minister has been approved to participate in the 44th edition of the FAO conference to be held in Rome, Italy from June 13 to 29, and the investment promotion program organized by the Investment Board Nepal in Italy and Germany. It has also decided to grant permission to the Minister of Senior Citizens to participate.

The meeting has also decided to grant awards and honors to a total of 27 people who have won medals in international level volleyball, wushu and kabaddi tournaments, coaches, assistant coaches and managers, to increase the tenure of two generals of the Nepal Army, to promote one assistant charioteer and to transfer two others. 

The government has also given approval to Dhanraj Acharya, head of Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality, to participate in the Sister Cities Cooperation and Exchange Meeting being held in Lhasa, People's Republic of China from June 9 to 11. 

In addition, the meeting has decided to approve the Unpaid Consular (Sixth Amendment) Regulations, 2082, to approve the submission of the bill to amend the Nepal Veterinary Council Act, 2055 to the Federal Parliament, to approve the National Sports Policy, 2082, and to approve the National Strategy for Data System Development (2081/82-2085/86). 

According to Minister Gurung, Minister Gurung made it clear that the government has decided to transfer Bharatmani Subedi, special category secretary of the civil service, to the post of secretary of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission, Mahadev Panth to the post of secretary of the Election Commission, Sobhakant Paudel to the post of controller general of the Comptroller General's Office, and Dr. Khagendra Prasad Subedi to the office of Chief Minister and Cabinet, Chief Secretary of Gandaki Province.

On that occasion, Minister Gurung also asked the opposition parties to leave the way of obstructing the parliament and respect the parliamentary practice. He said that if a minister has to resign because of a mistake made by a person, then the government cannot run and it will affect the people.
