Passengers stranded at the airport started flying

Passengers who were stranded at Tribhuvan International Airport since Monday night after the cancellation of flights to Gulf countries have started flying to their destination.

Passengers were stranded at the airport after the flight of Nepal Airlines Corporation (Nepal Airlines) scheduled to fly to Doha, Qatar at 11:30 p.m. on Monday night was canceled due to the developing situation in Qatar.

Similarly, a large number of passengers were stranded when the Himalayan Airlines flight to Qatar was also cancelled. Flights to Gulf countries were canceled after Iran attacked Qatar. The airport office said that the passengers of the flights that were canceled last night have started going to their destination today as the "air space" of Qatar has been opened. The flights that were canceled last night have been rescheduled for 12 noon today.

According to Jagannath Niraula, the general manager of the airport, last night the flight of Nepal Airlines and Himalaya Airlines to Qatar destination was cancelled. Because of this, hundreds of passengers who were on their way to the destination were stranded at the airport. The flight of the plane coming from Qatar to Kathmandu has also been canceled today. It is said that Qatar has canceled the flight that was supposed to arrive in Kathmandu at 8 am.

General Manager Niraula said that now that Qatar has opened its skies, he is confident of regular flights. According to Nigam spokesperson Subas Dangi, there were 269 passengers on the Nigam's Doha flight on Monday. The entire process of the airport has been completed to send them to their destination today. It is said that due to the situation in Qatar, there will be some delays in the regular flights of the Gulf countries.

On Monday night, the flight was canceled after the attack was reported while the passengers were being prepared to board the plane. Most of the travelers who were going for foreign employment were confused. 30 airline companies, including three from Nepal, have been operating international flights.
