On May 30, two points were agreed between the ruling party and the main opposition regarding the investigation of the visit visa case . RASPA and RPP have been obstructing the parliament by demanding a high-level inquiry committee or a judicial commission to investigate the case.
The government constituted a high-level inquiry committee under the leadership of former National Security Adviser Shankardas Vairagi on Monday to investigate the matter of visit visa and immigration at Tribhuvan International Airport.
The 'High Level Study and Scrutiny Committee on Immigration and Visit Visa' has joint secretaries of the Ministry of Home, Labour, Federal Affairs and Foreign Affairs as members. The committee has been given a mandate of 3 months.
