Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has said that there is a need to restructure Nepali embassies in different countries. He also said that the government should invest for that.

While answering the questions raised on the allocation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the House of Representatives on Monday, Minister Rana gave the example of the embassy in Japan and said that the embassies representing Nepal should be restructured and relocated.

'Since everyone has told stories of happiness here, I also wanted to share a story of sadness. Our embassies are not in a better position than ward offices. This is very sad," she said. "I went to the Japanese embassy this evening. He used to go before, at that time he went as his mother's daughter. After this shift, I was very depressed. There is no place for people to sit if there is a lot of files. An embassy smaller than a chicken coop. 3 lakh 50 thousand Nepalis have reached, there is no place to live. We have said that we will move this shift.'

Minister Rana said that the Embassy of Nepal in Japan is not even the size of a ward office. Ward number 4 (Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city) in my area was called to inaugurate the ward office. That ward office was very good. But looking at that embassy, it is the image they see about Nepalis abroad,' she said.

Minister Rana also said that the ministry does not have enough budget.
