Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has expressed his commitment to bring the completed basic hospital into operation from July.
Answering the questions raised about the appropriated titles related to health and population under the Appropriation Bill 2082, Minister Paudel said that the basic hospital that has been constructed will be put into operation from July 1st by providing medical equipment and tools from the federal government in cooperation with all three levels.
According to Minister Paudel, about 70 basic hospitals will be put into operation from July 1. He said, 'The completion of the basic hospital under construction and the mapping of the strategic location to start the construction at the local level is underway . Basic Hospital Operation Standards 2081 have been approved and implemented. Accordingly, the budget for implementation is Rs. billion has been allocated .'
Minister Paudel said that preparations have been started to increase 2,500 health personnel every year to gradually increase 12,000 health personnel within 5 years to be managed from the budget of the next fiscal year. We have started the organization and management survey (ONM) of the health sector, which has not been done for decades. The ONM process of 2,500 manpower to be added this year is in the final stage to be submitted to the Council of Ministers,' he said.
Minister Poudel said that the process of making the entire and organized sector that receives government salaries and benefits as stipulated in the law has been advanced for increasing the fund of health insurance. "In order to manage health insurance, we have increased the budget of the insurance program compared to the current year. "We have moved forward by appointing 180 health officers to make the health insurance research more systematic and change the responsibilities so far," he said. According to the
insurance regulations, Minister Paudel said that the state-of-the-art equipment, MRI, CityScan, and modular surgery equipment have been arranged in the federal hospitals.
He said that an incentive package is being prepared to keep doctors and health workers who provide specialized services within the country. Minister Poudel said that the salary scales of doctors, nurses and health workers in the private sector have been strictly applied in the determination of the government level.
Mentioning that 100 million has been allocated for the research of free burn treatment for poor citizens, Minister Paudel said that adequate arrangements have been made to end the situation of dying without getting burn treatment due to lack of finances.
Answering the questions raised in the discussion, he said that preparations are being made to provide free treatment of diabetes in children in all seven provinces. He said that the Ministry of Health is committed to making a balanced investment not only in treatment-oriented services, but also in preventive and promotional health programs and plans to prevent the citizens from getting sick.
