Today, the National Cooperative Federation drew attention to Prime Minister President KP Sharma Oli on the issue of not shrinking the cooperative sector during regulation.
In the meeting held today at the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar, the team including the president of the federation, Om Devi Malla, demanded that the guidelines and standards issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank and the Cooperative Authority are not balanced under the resource collection limit of 10 percent deposit and 15 percent loan, and that there should be a system that can be transacted within three months of becoming a member.
Prime Minister Oli in the discussion with the participation of Chief of Central Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Department of CPN (UML) Khagraj Adhikari, former minister and former president of the Federation Keshav Badal, Secretary of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Ministry Kedarnath Sharma assured that the government will facilitate the management as laws, policies and guidelines will be introduced for the smooth operation and management of the relevant sectors.
Suggestions have been submitted to amend some of the provisions of the bill brought to replace the ordinance brought to amend some Nepal Acts related to cooperatives.
