Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba said that high-level initiatives are ongoing to solve the border problem with India and China. While answering the questions raised by the parliamentarians on the allocation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Parliament, Minister Rana said that initiatives are being taken through the established mechanisms.
While responding to the questions raised on the allocation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the House of Representatives on Monday, Minister Rana said that continuous efforts are being made to solve the border problem in the north and south.
He said that initiatives are being taken to resolve the border problem through high-level mechanisms. 'In regards to border-related problems, bilateral high-level talks and resolution initiatives are continuing through established mechanisms. In addition, there has been constant coordination with the concerned agencies on this matter,' she said.
She said that the talks between India and China, which had not been held for two years, have been started only recently to resolve the border issue. She hoped that a solution would emerge from those talks.
