Due to floods and landslides, roads have been blocked in 6 different places in the country even today. According to the police head office, the road blocked in four other places has been opened in one direction.
The Central Spokesperson of the Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Vinod Ghimire said that the efforts to make the one-way open roads two-way and to open the blocked roads are continuing.
According to him, Arani Highway has been blocked at three places due to the landslide in Bhotekoshi of Sindhupalchok. Roads were blocked due to landslides in Kodari, Larcha and Koplan of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality.
Similarly, flood has blocked the Mahendra Highway in Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-1 in Nawalparasi Bardghat Susta East. There is a long line of cars in that area now. Passengers are stranded.
The Beni-Jomsom road has been blocked by a landslide in Annapurna Rural Municipality-3 Rupse of Myagdi. On the other hand, due to flood in Tripurasundari Municipality-1 Chalaghat of Dolpa, the Bheri Corridor is also completely blocked and efforts are on to open it.
The Ravi-Rake-Bhetetar road of Sangurigarhi Rural Municipality-5 of Dhankuta has been opened one-way. The VP highway which was blocked by flood in Dhulikhel Municipality-11 Banjhokhet of Kavre has also been opened one-way.
Similarly, the Narayangadh-Muglin road blocked by landslides at Panch Tuin river and Namsi bridge of Ichchakamana rural municipality of Chitwan has also been opened on one side.
Kaligandaki Corridor, which was blocked due to a landslide in Buralba, Gulmi's Kaligandaki Rural Municipality 6, has been opened one-way. The police have informed that the Jumla-Mugu road has been opened one-way due to a landslide in Sinja Rural Municipality-2 Chulel village of Jumla.
