National Assembly Member of Nepali Congress Jitjung Basnet commented that National Independent Party and CPN (Unified Socialist) have taught morality.
Speaking at the National Assembly meeting held on Thursday, he insisted that he could not leave the leadership of the parliamentary party and the party, saying that the case against the president of the United Socialist Party was pending and the president of the RSVP was in jail.
He said that the RSVP and the United Socialist Party will teach ethics to the Congress and asked - 'What kind of ethics is this?' Basnet said that morality should be taught to others only after learning it. He said that the country cannot run without moral character and insisted that moral character can be said to others only after one's moral character is good.
He said, 'When talking about ethics, I would like to ask the RSVP and the Samajwadi Party - do you think ethics or not? Authority has filed a case against your leader, a party president is in jail. The party chairman who is in jail and the party chairman who has been sued by the authority should remain the leader of the parliamentary party and the party chairman should not leave? Will we teach morality to the Nepali Congress? What kind of ethics is this? Ethics should be learned first and then taught to others. A country cannot run without moral character. Therefore, the moral character must first be good, beautiful. Only then can you tell others.'
He mentioned that he first needs to understand himself about moral character.
