CPN (UML) Vice President Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that all the problems within the party are solvable.
Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Vice President Paudel, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, claimed that the party leadership has the power to make the role of UML more effective in national politics while preserving the unity of the party. Mentioning that there is no problem beyond the control of the party leadership, he reiterated that they have the ability to solve the problems within the party.
He expressed concern about the lack of activity and enthusiasm among the workers and said that there is a need for further discussion.
He said, "Today in CPN-UML, I don't think there is any problem beyond our control that we cannot solve." There are problems, but they are all within our control, within our reach. The current party leadership can solve any problem in the party. And all our leaders-activists should believe that we can move forward by making the party's role in national politics more effective while preserving the unity of the party. And we also believe that we have that power. At present, we have seen a little less of that speed, enthusiasm, energy in our ranks. There was a time when thousands and millions of people took to the streets as soon as the party called. Now a situation has arisen where a lot of effort has to be made to get even a few people, why? Why there is a state of laxity in the party and party workers now is a matter of some discussion and concern.
Expressing his belief that there will not be any major controversy in the matter of party leadership, he said that the party's internal problems should be properly evaluated and come to a conclusion. —News Agency Nepal
