Roads have been blocked at 6 places on various highways today due to landslides after the rains. The spokesperson of Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Vinod Ghimire informed that traffic movement has been affected due to this.
According to the Police Head Office, Kanti Lokthap has been blocked since this morning due to a landslide in Bagmati Rural Municipality-3 Chhapeli of Lalitpur. Similarly, in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok, Arani Highway has been blocked due to landslides at three places. Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-2 Kodari, Ward No. 3 Larcha and Koplan in Ward No. 2 have blocked the road due to landslides.
Similarly, the flood of Vinayi river in Vinayi Triveni rural municipality-1 in Nawalparasi Bardghat Susta East has blocked the east-west highway. Similarly, the Kaligandaki Corridor has been completely blocked due to landslides in Gulmi's Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-6 Barlaba. The Jumla-Mugu road, which was closed due to a landslide in Sinja of Jumla, and the Ravi-Rake-Bhedetar road of Dhankuta's Sangurigarhi rural municipality-5 have been opened one-way . According to the police head office, the efforts to open the blocked roads are continuing.
