National Independent Party MP Manish Jha has made it clear that he will not back down from his demand for visit visas and investigation of those involved in the organized crime of human trafficking.
He said this while talking to journalists at the Federal Parliament Building in Naya Baneshwar on Tuesday. They said that they understand the importance of the bills that the government is going to bring. Mentioning that they are ready to give political support to the
bills, he said that the government should also listen to their demands. He insisted that a high-level inquiry commission, a judicial committee or a parliamentary special inquiry committee should be formed to investigate those involved in the case.
He said that this demand is not only theirs but also the demand of the people who have been cheated for 18 years and should not be cheated anymore.
He said, 'We understand the importance of bills. It has political significance, but as we are ready to give political support to the bill they are bringing, they should also listen to our demand for the formation of a high-level inquiry commission or a judicial committee or a parliamentary special inquiry committee for the necessary investigation regarding the visit visa and the organized crime of human trafficking and all the involvements. This demand is not only ours, the people have been being cheated for 18 years and they want not to be cheated anymore. So we request to listen to that too.'
After the name of the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar was linked to the visit visa case, the National Independent Party has been continuously obstructing the Parliament by demanding the resignation of the Home Minister and an inquiry committee.
