Iran's intelligence chief has been killed in an Israeli airstrike. According to Iran's official media, Mohammad Kazemi, the head of the intelligence unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), died on Sunday.

According to IRGC-linked Tasrim News Agency and Iran's state television, apart from Kazemi, his deputy Hassan Mokhek and commander Mohsin Bakeri were also killed in the Israeli attack.

In an interview given to Fox News earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "I can tell you that we have killed Iran's intelligence chief and his deputy."
