Dura's promotion to Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat

Suraj Kumar Dura has been promoted to the vacant Secretariat Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The secretariat operation and management committee meeting held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Speaker Devraj Ghimire decided to promote Dura to the secretariat secretary.

The promotion committee chaired by the Public Service Commission recommended the promotion of Manoj Kumar Giri and Hridayram Maharjan along with Dura two days ago. With the resignation of Secretariat Secretary Sudarshan Khadka, a Secretariat Secretary post was vacant in the Parliament Secretariat. 

Dura 046, who was born to father Ganesh Bahadur and mother Yamunadevi on 7th January 2027 in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-1 Shantinagar of Kailali, entered the civil service on 19th February 2027. Since 2052, he has served continuously in the Federal Parliament Secretariat. 

Dura, who holds a master's degree in Political Science and Sociology, has held important responsibilities in the Parliament Secretariat including the Administration Division, the Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee. He is currently the Secretary of the State Administration and Good Governance Committee. Dura resumed his post in the office at Singhdarwar on Saturday.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal and other officials congratulated the newly appointed Secretary Dura and wished him a successful tenure.
