Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has said that the decision to ban women workers in Gulf countries should be reviewed. She said that despite the government's ban, thousands of women have reached the Gulf countries, so there is a need to grant them legal status.

She said that the sending of women workers to the Gulf countries was stopped after the parliamentary committee's study and directives. But, should we review it now?'' She said that despite stopping, it was found that there are only 48,000 Nepalese women workers in Kuwait. He said that it is necessary to bring them within the legal framework. 

Speaking at the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives on Friday, Minister Deuba said that decisions taken with good intentions in the past have now increased the challenge. It is difficult for the domestic workers there to return home if they are not brought under the legal framework. There is a problem in rescuing those who are in trouble. The embassies  There is also a situation where they have to hide and build a shelter," she said. "There is a situation where there is no budget for their rescue. There is also a problem with their social and labor security. We are facing many difficult situations. Similar reports have also come from the ambassadors.' She said that work is being done in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Labor. She informed that the committee formed under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been working to present solutions to the problems related to foreign employment. 

Minister Rana claimed that the ministry has increased diplomatic activity. Saying that diplomacy is a process, she said that it will not give results today, it will not be a situation where the reward will be handed to the hands. Nepal's participation and involvement in world community, international forums, bilateral and multilateral meetings has been increased. We are trying to establish the agenda of Nepal," she said. "I believe that the results will be good." He said that it is possible to expect good results in the country's foreign relations in the future from the current efforts. 

Rana informed the committee about the recent foreign visits of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
