Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has requested to help in the delivery of justice by making the investigation and prosecution evidence-based and effective with the use of technology. He has also promised that the government will increase investment for police and lawyer capacity development, efficiency and resource management.
Inaugurating the third conference of investigative police and prosecuting public prosecutors which started in Kathmandu on Friday, Prime Minister Oli asked for investigation and prosecution so that the facts of the prosecution and evidence are done without any doubt.
'In order to prevent injustice in the society and to create a humane and just society by doing many research studies and researches, it is necessary to create timely laws and effective implementation. For that, there is a need for trained, capable and honest manpower with proper resources and tools. The government is committed to providing those materials and opportunities," he said. "The police should have cleanliness, fairness, and transparency. The government will give necessary attention to service facilities so that they do not think that the facilities are not enough.'
Prime Minister Oli said that because criminals use many ideas and techniques to cover up crimes, the police should be resourced with new and new technologies to arrest the criminals immediately, and the flawless investigation of the police will show the way for justice. In the conference attended by the Minister of Home Affairs, Ramesh Akhtar, and Attorney General Ramesh Badal, Prime Minister Oli urged them to give equal rights and opportunities through systematic arrangements, and pay attention to the aspects of development, order and good governance, to prosecute the culprits and give justice to the victims.
In a two-day conference conducted at the Police Headquarters, Naxal, researchers investigating criminal offenses involving the government of Nepal Investigation officers of Nepal Police, prosecuting public prosecutors, medico-legal doctors, expert staff of forensic science laboratory, representatives of concerned bodies and 170 employees and representatives designated by the Attorney General's Office and Nepal Police Headquarters are participating. Through the
conference, the important components of the criminal justice system are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the criminal justice system and the effective role of the investigating police, public prosecutors and judges.
