According to the Water and Weather Forecasting Division, monsoon winds are currently affecting some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces as well as some parts of the eastern region of Lumbini province. Western winds and local winds also influence the western part of the country.
According to the department, there will be a partial to general change in the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places and parts of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki regions. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at some places in the high hills and Himalayan parts of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly areas including Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces and a couple of places in the remaining parts. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi region. In addition, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in some places of high hills and Himalayas, the department said.
