A meeting was held between the leader of the main opposition party Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal and the president of United Samajwadi Party Madhav Kumar Nepal at Singh Darbar. Both the opposition leaders discussed the ongoing obstruction in the parliament.

After the discussion now the meeting of the opposition party is sitting in the parliament building.

The opposition parties have been demanding that Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar should resign and help in the investigation regarding the visit visa case. Apart from the presentation of the budget, the meeting of the House of Representatives has been continuously disrupted since May 13.
