Madhesh MP Saroj Kumar Singh has been arrested from Anamnagar. He was arrested by a team of the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission on charges of embezzling funds from the State Parliament Development Fund. He is a Jaspa MP.

He is accused of irregularity by taking the funds of the development fund through the consumer committee. Just a few days ago, the authority's team arrested Singh's personal secretary, Vinod Kumar Lal Kayastha.

According to the authority, Singh kept the amount deposited in the accounts of the various consumer committees through Secretary Kayastha and kept them in his and his wife's account . At that time, the police also seized the electrical equipment that MP Singh was using.
