Abuse of Judge Tharu who acquitted former Congress MP Alam

Judge Khushi Prasad Tharu of the High Court Janakpur, temporary bench Birganj who acquitted former Congress MP Aftab Alam was misbehaved.

Workers of CPN (Majority) led by Dharmendra Bastola accused Tharu in the court on Thursday. According to the police, 3 activists of CPN majority involved in abuse were arrested.  

Judge Tharu and Arjun Maharjan's bench acquitted Mohammed Alam, the accused of the bomb blast in Rautahat on 14th May, by overturning the order of District Court Rautahat. After that order, Alam, who was in Nakkhu Jail in Lalitpur, was released in the evening on the same day. 

Against the order of Rautahat district court, Alam reached the Birgunj bench of Janakpur High Court. The bench also upheld the order of the district court to keep him in custody for trial.

Rautahat district court sentenced four people including Congress leader Alam to life imprisonment in 2081 Baisakh. Among those sentenced to life imprisonment were Congress leader Alam, his brother Mohammad Mahtab Alam, Sheikh Saraj and Badri Sahni .
