The meeting between Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasia and the chief whips of the four major political parties on opening the obstruction of the Federal Parliament House of Representatives has ended without a conclusion.

The meeting called by the Speaker ended without a conclusion as the political parties maintained their positions. Congress, UML, Maoist, RSVP and other parties are discussing separately after the discussion with the Speaker was inconclusive.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire has said that today's meeting is more disappointing than before. According to a source close to him, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, Law Minister Chaurasia, Congress Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire, UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bertaula, Maoist Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey and RSVP Chief Whip Santosh Periyar said that the attendance of the meeting was weaker than before.

After the meeting called by the Speaker did not reach any conclusion, Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa, Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire,  Home Minister Ramesh Ulak, UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bertaula, Maoist Deputy General Secretary Varshman Pun, Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey, RSVP Acting Party Leader Virajbhakt Shrestha and Chief Whip Santosh Periyar have joined the discussion.

The opposition parties have been disrupting the House of Representatives meeting since May 13 regarding the visit visa issue. Initially, the opposition parties, who demanded the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and the formation of an inquiry committee, have recently been demanding the formation of a judicial or parliamentary committee.

On May 26, the RSVP submitted a five-point proposal to the Congress. The proposal was discussed between the opposition parties in the Parliament building on Wednesday. The ruling parties, UML and Congress, have been maintaining that the resignation of the Home Minister will not come and the investigation committee will not be formed.
