Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasia along with chief whips of four major political parties are discussing about opening the obstruction of the Federal Parliament House of Representatives.
The discussion is going on in Speaker Ghimire's office in Parliament House New Baneshwar. Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, Law Minister Chaurasia, Congress Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire, UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bertaula, Maoist Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey and RSVP Chief Whip Santosh Periyar are participating in the discussion.
The opposition parties have been disrupting the House of Representatives meeting since May 13 regarding the visit visa issue. Initially, the opposition parties, who demanded the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and the formation of an inquiry committee, have recently been demanding the formation of a judicial or parliamentary committee.
The ruling parties UML and Congress have been maintaining the stand that the Home Minister will not resign and the investigation committee will not be formed. A meeting of the opposition parties was held before the ongoing meeting in the Speaker's office.
