The police have arrested two persons on the charge of fraud of 6 lakh rupees by pretending to be DSP. Among those arrested are Gyanu Tamang alias Gyan Bahadur Lama, 45, living in Chauri Deurali-8, Kavrepalanchok, and Revati Ojha, 42, living in five houses in Itahari sub-metropolis, Sunsari, and currently living in Kalanki.

Apilraj Bohra, Spokesperson of District Police Complex Kathmandu and Superintendent of Police, said that they cheated by saying that they were DSP of Nepal Police and that they would settle the case of people in police custody.

Among those arrested, Gyan Bahadur served a five-year prison sentence on February 20, 2070 for a crime related to firearms and ammunition, a public crime crime and a gambling-related crime on October 4, 2067, the police said.

Spokesperson Bohra said that the Kathmandu District Court extended the deadline of five days to both the arrested persons and further investigation is underway.
