UML filed a corruption case against Madhesh MP Dipendra Kumar Thakur and 17 others

A corruption case has been filed against the ruling UML Madhesh MP Dipendra Kumar Thakur on the allegation of irregularities in building construction. On Tuesday, the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission filed a corruption case in a special court with him as a defendant. Punishment has been demanded against 17 people including Thakur.

Thakur Dhanusha is an elected Member of Parliament from 3(2). 

Thakur is the deputy leader of the UML parliamentary party in the Madhesh state assembly. BuildersThakur, who was also the managing director of Pvt. Ltd. at the time, filed a case on the charge of embezzlement during the construction of a 15-bed hospital in Aurhi Rural Municipality of Dhanusha. 6 crore 79 lakh 12 thousand 383 rupees have been fixed against him and a fine of imprisonment and fine has been demanded. 

He was accompanied by the then Chairman of the Rural Municipality Bramhadev Yadav, the then Vice Chairman Miradevi Sahni, the then Chief Administrative Officer Suvodhkumar Thakur, Chairman of Ward No. 1 Asheshwar Yadav, Chairman of Ward No. 2 Amit Kumar Yadav, Chairman of Ward 3 Ganga Prasad Yadav, Chairman of Ward 4 Shivnath Sah, Ward 5 Paramescharkumar Sah, Chairman of Ward 6 Dili Kumar Sah, then Engineer of the Municipality Sonu Sah, Sub-Engineer Vinit Kumar Sah, Purchaser Mohan Kumar Mandal and Manoj Kumar Yadav, the then Managing Director of Lumbini/D&N JV, Bishnu Prasad Sharma, have been fined Rs.
