Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari clarified that there is no need to take permission from UML to meet the workers.
Talking to reporters at Biratnagar Airport on Tuesday, she said, "Should I get UML's permission to meet the workers?" I have been working in the party since I was not an organized member. Acquaintance is also great. It is natural for the leaders of the party to call in the event.'
'I was active in the party before becoming the president and not taking organized membership. Now it is my duty to interview the society, understand people's thoughts and aspirations. For the new generation, we have to fight for the country until we live," she added.
Reacting to the accusation that she started factional politics within the UML, she said, "I am never a person who creates factions". I don't think President Oliji is staring at me. He may not have said that. You mean that?'
Prime Minister and UML president KP Sharma Oli had recently warned the party workers against factionalism. Bhandari, who spent four days in Morang and Sunsari of Koshi province, is returning to Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Bidya Devi Bhandari, who has been the president of the country twice, has clearly stated that she will return to active politics. Bhandari, who first became president in October 2072 and then in February 2074, left Sheetal Niwas in February 2079 after completing two regular terms. After some time, the indication that he will return to active politics has created waves within the UML.
While there is talk of Bhandari returning to UML, UML President KP Sharma Oli, who is also the Prime Minister, has said that only rumors are being spread. 'So-and-so will come here, so-and-so will come, so-and-so. "There has been no discussion in the party, who is the general secretary, who is the president, who is the vice president, now the convention has not been announced," President Oli said a few days ago.
