Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) has proposed five points to the ruling party Nepali Congress for agreement to remove the obstruction of parliament.
Based on the previous negotiations, RSVP has prepared a consensus draft and sent it to the Congress . In which, it has been proposed that a high-level investigation committee should be formed within five days to investigate the involvement of government agencies, travel agencies, manpower companies, airlines and Nepali and foreign missions in human trafficking and organized crime in the name of visit visa.
It is proposed that the performance committee should be formed within one day to determine the scope, structure, management and authority of the said committee. Likewise, the performance committee has proposed that the procedure of the inquiry committee should be prepared within five days and the committee should be formed and the work started.
Raswapa has also proposed that the government should provide full support and facilitation in the investigation of the corruption-related activities of the Airport Immigration Office by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
Similarly, it has been proposed that high standards of transparency should be adopted in the formation of the investigation committee, the investigation process and the publication of the study report.
The opposition parties have been obstructing the Parliament by demanding that Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar should resign and form an inquiry committee regarding human trafficking through visit visas. The obstruction in the House of Representatives regarding the visit visa issue continues since May 13.
