A corruption case has been filed against Ramji Bagale, editor of Janaswal Rashtriya Daily, and Shambhukumar Yadav, the then chief administrative officer of Rautahat's Fatuwa Vijaypur Municipality, on the charge of receiving payment by submitting false details without publishing the advertisement.
The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed a case against Bagale and the then Chief Administrative Officer Yadav along with the then Deputy Accountant of the Municipality Naveen Kumar Yadav, Publisher of Tarai Post Rupendra Patel and Representative Om Prakash Yad on Monday in a special court.
After a complaint was received on the allegation of irregularities in the distribution of medicine spray tanks to the farmers in Fatuwa Vijayapur Municipality-4 of Rautahat, the authority had proceeded with the investigation. It was revealed that the tender for the purchase of the tank was published in the newspaper and the payment was taken without publishing the notice in collusion between the journalists and the employees.
The authority found that the name mentioned in the check cut for the payment was tampered with, and the government documents in the municipality were tampered with and corrected.
It is mentioned in the charge sheet of the authority that it was found that 1 lakh 72 thousand 825 rupees were paid to Janaswal Rashtriya Dainik and 39 lakh 4 hundred rupees were paid to Sai Tarai Post for the publication of the tender invitation notice which was not published.
