Chairman of the ruling party CPN (UML) and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli returned to Kathmandu by helicopter on Saturday after inaugurating a hospital built in Katahari, Morang. However, former President Bidya Devi Bhandari is still active in various programs in Jhapa-Morang.
Bhandari, who came down to Biratnagar on Thursday, is busy with programs in Jhapa and Morang. His schedule is busy till Monday . After coming down from Biratnagar, she is meeting with various party workers of Morang and participating in various programs. On Friday, she inaugurated the national meeting of deputy heads of municipalities in Biratnagar.
On Saturday, she inaugurated the state-level science and technology exhibition organized by the science and technology department of UML at Devi Mavi in Birtamod, Jhapa. She also participated in the program organized by Nari Sanchar Griha on Sunday.
Bhandari is not only active in formal events, but also in informal meetings and small gatherings and discussions. He has also held an internal meeting especially with the leaders and workers of the UML of Jhapa. "The former president had a special meeting with the leaders-activists close to Oli of Jhapa," said a leader.
In Jhapa, she met with leaders like state MP Chintan Pathak, former state MP Vasant Baniyan, Jhapa UML vice president Shiv Dhungel, who is considered close to Oli. Former Chief Minister of Koshi Sherdhan Rai has been with him since Thursday. From welcoming at the airport, Rai has participated in various meetings, conferences and discussions held in Jhapa-Morang.
While returning to Biratnagar on Sunday, Bhandari has been scheduled to visit the production center of Jhapa Energy at Sivagunj in Jhapa. UML Morang secretary Somraj Thapa informed that he will return to Biratnagar on Monday and visit the ancestral house at Ithara in Morang and then return to Kathmandu.

Some leaders within the UML are also looking at Bhandari as a possible future president . Bhandari's intention to become active in politics again is visible on the surface.
