The Ministry of Health and Population has started preparations as the infection rate of Corona has increased rapidly in India. Ministry spokesman Dr. Prakash Budhathoki said that he has been preparing for two weeks in view of the recent spread of infection and some deaths in India.
He said that 17 land crossings and three air crossings connected with India and the health workers working at the health desks there have been kept in readiness.
People with symptoms similar to Covid-19 are urged to stay in self-isolation for one week, wherever they are in the country or abroad, and if they have breathing problems or additional complications for any reason, they are requested to go to the nearest health facility immediately. Spokesperson Budhathoki said. "Since the past experience shows that the infection in India comes to Nepal in 10/15 days, we have been preparing for it for about 2 weeks," he said.
Stating that 25 hub hospitals and more than 2,000 satellite hospitals across the country have been kept in readiness, he said, 'We have also activated the health emergency operation centers in seven provinces. Center and state are monitoring the reports of more than 600 laboratories across the country. We have also kept the hospitals in a state of readiness to control the spread of the infection and prevent loss of property.'
He also said that preparations have been made to support the population of 90,000 to 100,000 with available resources, facilities and infrastructure as the infection increases.
