37 Nepali citizens who were deported by the US arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday evening by charter flight. 32 men and 5 women were sent to Nepal by the United States through Omni Air International's call-sign N486 AX. The plane landed at Tribhuvan International Airport from Bangladesh via India. They were sent back to Nepal after being found guilty of violating US immigration laws.

The charter plane with the American officials came to Kathmandu with Indian and Bangladeshi citizens in charge of the respective countries.

With the election of Donald Trump as the US President for the second term and taking office on January 20, 2025, the US has adopted a policy of deporting illegal immigrants. Since then, 140 Nepalis have been deported from America. Once the charter plane and the rest were brought back home by regular flight.
