Hitraj Pandey, the chief whip of the main opposition Maoists, has said that if it is difficult for Home Minister Ramesh Lakhtar to resign from his post in the case of visit visa, he should be prepared to form a parliamentary or judicial inquiry committee. He also said that if the government is ready to form an inquiry committee, the obstruction of parliament will be removed.

After the meeting of the House of Representatives was disrupted on Wednesday, Maoist Chief Whip Pandey said that the House can proceed if an inquiry committee is formed. "If the Home Minister is finding it difficult to pave the way, let him speak on behalf of the government about forming an inquiry committee, then move the House forward," said Pandey.

Pandey says that the issues raised by the opposition in the House of Representatives since May 13 are related to the governance of the country and cannot be backed away from it. He said that the ruling parties are not even ready to investigate the case of visit visa. "Opposition parties are not trying to block the House". As we are the opposition, we will speak the voice of the people,' he said.

To allow the Home Minister to speak in Parliament  Pandey also said that the opposition is ready. "We have not said that you cannot speak after the charges have been filed." In the past, even when our president was the prime minister, he said that he should speak, so he said that he should speak now. Had to talk about this topic . You said that an investigation committee will be formed,' he said. He said that no matter what the home minister, prime minister or law minister says on behalf of the government, the opposition will be accepted, but an inquiry committee should be formed.

Pandey said that the ruling party has refused to hold an inquiry with the resignation of the home minister and is asking for the opening of the parliament. Pandey said that in the meeting of chief whips called by Speaker Devraj Ghimire, the ruling party is demanding to end the obstruction and allow the House to run. "The matter being investigated and prosecuted by the Abuse of Power Investigation Commission is not consistent with the visit visa case." It should be seen what the common people are experiencing! It is basically a matter of good governance. They only talk about their joint secretary Tirtha Bhattarai," he said.

The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has initiated an investigation against some employees, including the joint secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tirtha Bhattarai, on the charge of extorting money from citizens going on foreign tours through the Tribhuvan International Airport . Regarding this issue, the opposition parties have been disrupting the Parliament session demanding the resignation of the Home Minister. Due to the interruption of the Parliament meeting, the discussion on the budget of the next financial year has also been affected.
