Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal has said that it is wrong for transport professionals to stop public transport. Minister Dahal said that according to the agreement reached between the government and the transport businessmen on Monday night, the transport businessmen should operate the transport, but it has not been operated so far and this is wrong.

Minister Dahal says that the argument of the transport businessmen that the transport will be operated only after the letter from the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has been sent to Gandaki province.  They have been protesting demanding the immediate cancellation of Regulation 2082 Section 2 (h) which was published in the Gazette on 1st May 2082 by the Government of Gandaki Province and published in the gazette on 1st June 2082, which is contrary to Section 2 of Section 8 and Section 12 of the Vehicle Act 2049.

Minister Dahal made it clear that the federal government has not entered into an agreement that violates the rights of the provinces and said that the bill to make arrangements for some vehicles and public transport has been finalized and the rest will be addressed through the bill.
