Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief Sarawat Jahan had a courtesy meeting.

The IMF team has come to Nepal for the sixth review under the extended credit facility. On the same occasion, a meeting was held with Finance Minister Poudel.  

Finance Minister Poudel and Mission Chief Jahan discussed the sixth review, structural reforms and other issues, according to the Ministry of Finance.

IMF had decided to give concessional loan of 398.8 million US dollars within four years under Extended Credit Facility (ECF) to Nepal in December 2018 during the corona epidemic.
