At present, western and central parts of the country are affected by western winds and local winds, while most parts of Koshi region are affected by monsoon winds.
According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, there will be partial to normal showers in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and other parts of the country.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places of Koshi Pradesh, a few places in the hilly areas of the country including Madhesh Pradesh and one or two places in the rest of the country The department said. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi region. There is a possibility of light rain/snowfall in a few places in the high-hills and Himalayan regions of the country.
Tonight, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki provinces, and the weather will be mainly clear to partly cloudy in the rest of the country.
