Writer and former journalist Vijay Chalise passed away on Friday. The 74-year-old died at 9:30 this morning, according to family sources.
Chalise, a resident of Gokarneshwar Municipality-9, is now being cremated at the Gokarneshwar Mahadev Temple complex.
Chalise was born in Arubari, Jorpati on June 22, 2008. He was once the former Executive Chairman of Gorkhapatra Institute and the former Editor-in-Chief of Gorkhapatra daily.
Chalise has written dozens of books including journalism, fiction, science fiction and children's literature.
Not long ago, his novel named 'Yugasandhi' was released in the market . Chalise is the son of narrator Ramesh Vikal.
