Parliament meeting adjourned for half an hour

The meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned for half an hour due to the disruption of opposition parties including the main opposition party.

As soon as the meeting started after about two hours delay, the MPs of the opposition party stood up and protested. Due to the opposition's stance that the meeting cannot be held until the resignation of the Home Minister regarding the 'visit visa' case, the regular proceedings could not proceed even today.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire repeatedly asked the opposition to facilitate the conduct of the meeting. He asked them to put their points on the party basis and help for that as the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar also demanded time. The meeting was adjourned for half an hour after the opposition party rejected his repeated requests.

On Tuesday, the meeting was adjourned without entering the regular agenda due to opposition parties. In today's meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will submit the economic survey for the year 2081/082. According to the possible agenda, there is an agenda to submit a proposal that the Bill, 2082 to amend some Nepal Acts related to land should be discussed and passed today.
