Nepali Congress General Minister Bishwaprakash Sharma has expressed the hope that the issue of Himalayas will be included in the upcoming budget.
After returning from Everest region, Chief Minister Sharma, writing a letter to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, requested that in the upcoming budget, respectable porter insurance, pension for professional climbers, establishment of government tower at base camp, access of technology and government to Everest, construction of trekking route Namasi road, construction of suspension bridge in Thukla this year.
In a letter related to 'Himali life, Himali tourism and expectations with the government', Chief Minister Sharma made such a request. Earlier, Chief Minister Sharma had written the first letter to Prime Minister Oli from Everest Base Camp on the topic of 'Climate Change and Justice: Nepal should take the lead'.
He said that while he was traveling from Solukhumbu's Lukla to the base camp and from the base camp to Camp 3, he informed Prime Minister Oli through a letter about the problems, shortages and challenges he saw there.
General Minister Sharma mentioned that Nepal should take world-class leadership in this 'agenda' by expanding the 'Sagarmata dialogue' with the determination to protect Everest and all other mountains from the impact of climate change.
