The transport businessmen have announced a program of agitation saying that the state governments have made laws and regulations contrary to the constitution.

National Federation of Transport Professionals of Nepal, Central Federation of Public Transport, Federation of Nepal Truck Transport Professionals, Federation of Transport Professionals, Nepal Transport Independent Labor Organization and Nepal Transport Workers Union have jointly formed the Central Struggle Committee to Save Public Transport and announced the program of the movement with 7-point demands .

Vijay Bahadur Swar, the president of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Professionals, informed that he was forced to announce the program of the movement after the public transport sector itself was displaced. According to him, the seven state governments are bringing regulations contrary to the federal law contrary to section 8 of section 2 and section 12 of the Vehicle Act 2049.

The businessmen demand that the provincial government should not bring a separate regulation in this way. Their demand is that Section 2 (h) of Regulation 2082 for the operation of private vehicles (red plates) published in the gazette by the Government of Gandaki Province on 1st May should be immediately repealed. Similarly, the Supreme Court has demanded that the mandate of 2080 Chaitra 20 of 2080 regarding the renovation of property of the Union Committee in the Association Registration Act 2034 should be implemented immediately, while the Vehicle Act 2049 is in the process of being amended, the agreements reached with the Nepal Government with the Federation of Transport Professionals and the Workers' Union on various dates and the recommendations of the various working groups formed by the government should be implemented as soon as possible .

Similarly, according to section 13 of the directive on load regulation of freight vehicles 2074, the load capacity of domestic and foreign vehicles should be strictly enforced, social security fund based on contributions should be implemented in the public transport sector, the insurance rate directive 2073 should be revised in time, accident compensation and rescue, and the establishment of an accident relief fund for relief. The businessmen have also put forward a demand to make a policy of compulsory insurance on goods by applying the Shipping Act. President Swale said that the demand for the creation of a competent transport authority and the immediate amendment of the unequal policy of 72-hour facility for cargo and passenger vehicles entering Nepal from neighboring countries at Nepal's customs point has been moved.

In order to fulfill the demand, the businessmen held a press conference on Tuesday, submitting a memorandum to all the ministries concerned about this issue.

The businessmen have announced a program of protest rally with vehicles in the province on 18th with black flags to submit their demands to the chief ministers of the province on Wednesday. If the demand is not addressed by the 18th, they have warned that they will protest indefinitely by keeping their vehicles in their homes and garages from the 19th.

In the year 2074, the government suspended the union committee, froze the property and converted it into a company, saying that the government would organize the transport sector. If their demands are not met, they say that 13 billion investments in the public transport sector will be at risk. Businessmen claim that 1.5 million people have direct employment in this sector and 4 million families are dependent on the public transport sector.
