Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has requested to extend warm hospitality to the tourists coming to Nepal without any legal and administrative hassles. At the National Tourism Dialogue organized by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation today at Singha Darbar, Prime Minister Oli urged for comprehensive reforms to remove the existing obstacles and advance the speed of good governance and development in a bold manner.
The Prime Minister stressed that the acts of causing unnecessary suffering to passengers at immigration, losing luggage, and creating many barriers for tourists to enter at the border should be stopped. He also made it clear that the government is ready to change the Public Procurement Act and other regulations if there are any obstacles to doing business and work.
'We are trying to increase tourism along with infrastructure development. The contact network has been expanded. Nepal is no longer remote. Jumla apples have arrived in Kathmandu well and are starting to find market. 14 border crossings have been opened with China. A bridge is being built at the Kimathanka crossing,' Prime Minister Oli said, 'In a place where there is nothing, it takes time to do everything at once. There is no need to be self-congratulatory because nothing happened. Let's advance tourism as the basis of prosperity without any weakness in the facilitation work that should be done by the relevant agencies.'
Prime Minister Oli instructed the relevant agencies to immediately separate the two entities of the airspace and fulfill other criteria as per the conditions, if the skies of Europe are still restricted (blacklist) for Nepal, even though Nepal's skies are safe.
