While the visit visa scandal is bringing the Home Ministry itself into question, Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has defended the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and raised questions about the tendency to demand his resignation.

"If any base employee makes a mistake, if the minister has to take responsibility for it, this state system will not work," Sitaula said while talking to reporters in Biratnagar on Sunday. According to him, forcing a minister to resign when there is no mistake at the policy level will be the beginning of a wrong tradition.
