This time, as there will be more rain than Sardar, it is predicted that dengue infection will also increase. The Division of Epidemiology and Communicable Disease Control has said that the risk of dengue infection will also increase as the Department of Water and Meteorology says that this monsoon will receive more rain than Sardar.

'Compared to last year, fewer infections have been observed. But the meteorological department has said that there will be a lot of rain. It will increase the risk of infection,'    Dr. Gokarna Prasad Dahal, head of the department's insect diseases department said.  He urged everyone to be cautious saying that dengue-carrying mosquitoes will flourish in the collected water when there is a lot of rain. He emphasized that places like tires and pots where water is collected should be managed from recently. According to him, mosquitoes of 'Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus' species bloom in clean places where water freezes, and when the larvae that emerge from those flowers become adults, they cause dengue.

branch chief Dr. Dahal informed that since December 17 till now, 1,811 people have been infected in 71 districts and 30 local levels where more than five people have been infected have been contacted to prevent and control the infection.

In 2024, dengue infection was spread in 76 districts and 15 people died and 41 thousand 865 people were infected.
