The Nepali Embassy in New Delhi has requested to travel to some countries in the Middle East only with a 'No Objection Letter'. In order to fly to 9 countries in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Libya and Lebanon, using Indian airports, a 'No Objection Letter' (NOC) issued by the embassy must be obtained.
The embassy will give a 'no objection letter' to Nepalis who have come with a labor approval sticker from the Foreign Employment Department. The government of Nepal has restricted travel to Gulf countries via India.
Some of the brokers sending people for foreign employment have been using fake labor documents and fake 'No Objection Letter(NOC)' for labor in Middle East countries through Indian airport . After increasing reports of people trying to pass immigration at Indian airports with fake documents, the embassy has asked to go to the airport only with NOC.
"The embassy has drawn attention to the information that the number of people trying to use fake documents has been seized from the airport by the Indian immigration authorities and the number of people sent to police custody is increasing accordingly," said a statement issued by the embassy on Monday.
