The Kathmandu District Court has allowed Durga Prasai, the businessman who is believed to be the main planner of the Tinkune incident on 15th of Chait, to be detained for another 4 days.

District Court Information Officer Deepak Kumar Shrestha informed that the bench of Judge Hark Bahadur Chhetri gave 4 more days for investigation to 26 people including Prasai.

The last time against Prasai was extended for 5 days on 30th Baisakh.  A case has been registered against Prasai for duty killing, killing industry, money laundering and banking offences.

He was absconding after inciting violence in the name of demonstration on March 15th. On March 28th, the Special Bureau of Police tracked him down in India and brought him to Bhadrapur on the morning of March 29th. Then he was brought to Kathmandu by ship.

A joint people's movement committee was formed for the restoration of the royal institution under the leadership of the former president of Rashtriya Panchayat, Navraj Subedi, leader of RPP, led by businessman Prasai. Subedi also announced Prasai as the commander of the Jan Andolan Committee.

On the 15th of Chait, Prasain himself started a riot, and the demonstration of the royalists turned violent. During the demonstration, 2 people including a journalist were killed. In addition, dozens of vehicles were set on fire and personal and government properties were also set on fire.
