A corruption case has been filed against 8 people including the former Minister of Madhesh Province, Vijay Kumar, the then Mayor of Bagmati Municipality, Bharat Kumar Thapa, Deputy Mayor Leela Kumari Muktan. Vijay Kumar is the former Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning.

There is an indictment of the authorities of corruption in the name of construction of fish pond in the hole made by illegal mining of forest products such as stone, gravel, sand and soil by encroaching on the forest area of ​​Sagarnath Forest Development Project. It is mentioned in the indictment that the government property was damaged by building structures including ponds illegally with millions of funds from the federal government and the state government. 

56 crore 71 lakh 7 thousand 292 rupees has been damaged and misused, the authority has said that a case has been filed in the special court today demanding punishment accordingly.
